Renowned music photographer Michelle Grace Hunder has launched a masterclass to help aspiring photographers break into the music industry.

Developed over the course of six months and funded by a COVID-19 assistance grant from the Australia Council, the masterclass will aim to connect a global community of budding photographers by offering them professional insights to further their careers.

Throughout the course, Hunder will provide advice on portfolio management, photography tips, legal rights, contracts and touring, as well as practical steps to gain confidence and negotiate payment.

The masterclass is recommended for both beginners and experienced photographers looking to take their career to a new level, with Hunder also offering specialist courses for those wanting to hone in on a specific module.

“The Online Masterclass in Photography spans from basic entry-level information on shooting through to advanced information and lessons pertaining to copyright, contracts, navigating relationships in the industry and more," Hunder said.

Boasting over a decade of experience, Hunder is recognised as one of Australia's leading music photographers, with previous projects including Australian hip-hop photo book Rise and the acclaimed documentary Her Sound, Her Story, documenting the story of women within Australian music.
