Australian songwriter Matthew Ifield continues to make waves on the global scene with some huge international deals.
After signing to EMI Music Australia in 2023, it has now been confirmed that the Sydney-based artist has partnered with Capitol Records in the US and Fontana in the UK.
This comes on the back of an established international team already active in Southeast Asia and India.
At just 21, Ifield has racked up more than 20 billion social views and 65 million fan-driven creations across social platforms. His new single "Thinking", dropped today. Check out the music video below.
“Matthew is a rare example of an artist whose global audience has developed organically and at scale," EMI Music Australia Managing Director Mark Holland said.
"What we’re seeing across Southeast Asia, India and now the US and UK isn’t a moment - it’s a sustained connection with fans that continues to deepen.

"These new partnerships allow us to build on that foundation with the right teams on the ground in each market.”
Sean Warner, President & CEO, Universal Music Australia & New Zealand, added: “Matthew represents the very essence of an emerging global artist we’re incredibly excited about. The data is obviously compelling, but it’s only one part of a much bigger, very positive story - what we’re seeing is genuine and lasting connection with audiences around the world. That’s translating into touring opportunities, fan engagement and real cultural impact, and we believe he’s only just getting started.”
Looking ahead, Ifield will head to the UK's The Great Escape in May, followed by a string of shows in Asia through June to July.
“From the beginning, the focus has been on turning global discovery into a sustained fanbase around Matthew’s voice and storytelling," Ifield's manager, Jade Nazareth, said.
"We’re now seeing that translate into real demand across Southeast Asia and India, and scaling into the US and UK, with a coordinated global approach across releases, touring and partnerships.”
