A new Australian music-based app has been announced today, which promises to deliver a personalised feed to music fans, curating a range of online content and social media updates from and about a user’s favourite artists and media outlets - effectively acting as a one-stop shop, not dissimilar to a RSS feed - but obviously a lot more interactive and responsive.

Purifier plucks content from thousands of websites, blogs, and social networks, and collates this all in a personalised feed. Users can tailor this feed to suit their interests, as well as connecting with other users to see exactly who they are following online as well. On top of this, Purifier boasts a recommendations tool, to help users find artists that suit their tastes.

The first release will be a free to download iPhone app, which launches on October 24, with plans to expand into a social networking realm.

Our depth Hot Seat interview with Matt Gudinski will be published in the coming weeks.

Sign up for a free Purifier account here.
