Vanessa Amorosi, Meghan Trainor & Natalie Bassingthwaighte all teased as potential contenders in The Masked Singer

Channel 10 has released another trailer for its upcoming season of The Masked Singer, with the judges throwing around names including Elon Musk and a Hemsworth brother as potential contenders.

More serious guesses from the judges in the newest trailer include performer and former Rogue Traders singer Natalie Bassingthwaighte, American singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor, and Australian hitmaker Vanessa Amorosi.

Channel 10 publicity said this year's contest will "blow you away".

"Our four showbiz sleuths Jackie O, Dannii Minogue, Dave Hughes and Urzila Carlson will be hot on their case, decoding cryptic clues, stalking potential instagrams and trying to guess the voice," Channel 10 said.

The first season of the show, in 2019, was won by Cody Simpson (Robot). Australian Idol alumni Rob ‘Millsy’ Mills placed second.

Last year, Bonnie Anderson as Bushranger took home the crown, ahead of second placed Kate Miller-Heidke. Anderson has subsequently signed up for Channel 7’s SAS Australia alongside musician Pete Murray.

The Masked Singer’s final moments last year pulled 1.191 million metro viewers.

Channel 10 said the new season is “coming soon”.
