Live Nation promotes Roger Field to President, Asia Pacific

Live Nation elevates several of its top executives in a shakeup that sees Roger Field promoted to President, Asia Pacific.

Melbourne-based Field joined Live Nation Australasia back in 2010 and has led the company as CEO since 2017.

Following the concerts giant's acquisition of Michael Coppel Presents in 2012, Field has “led the growth of the Australian and New Zealand businesses,” according to a company statement, initially as COO.

In this post, Field will oversee all of LN’s activities across the Asia Pacific region, reporting to Live Nation Asia Pacific Chairman, Alan Ridgeway.

Michael Coppel will continue as Chairman of LN Australia.

“I want to thank Alan for giving me the opportunity to lead the talented teams across the division,” Field says in a statement.

“The cohesion of a true Asian Pacific organisation presents significant opportunities for growth, not only for our business but for the professional development of our people and relationships,” he adds.

As part of the shakeup, announced Monday (Sept. 21), Mark Kneebone, Co-Head of Promotions for Australia & New Zealand since 2018, rises to the new role of Managing Director Live Nation New Zealand, as Stuart Clumpas retires as Chairman of the NZ business.

Clumpas, the veteran Scottish-born concerts and festival promoter, was appointed Chairman in 2018. He'll stay on as a consultant and as a shareholder in Spark Arena, LN's 12,000-max venue in Auckland.

Meanwhile Kei Ikuta climbs the ladder to President Live Nation Japan.

Ikuta succeeds John Boyle, who has served as President of the company since January 2018 and is returning to his hometown of Los Angeles to continue with Live Nation in another capacity.

In addition, Paul Antonio, who currently serves as President Asia & Middle East, shifts to the role as Chief Operating Officer Live Nation EMEA, reporting to John Reid, President Live Nation EMEA.

The raft of senior leadership moves as are said to further unite LN’s Asia Pacific division.
