Grant Blackley appointed new Chair Of Commercial Radio Australia

Grant Blackley, chief executive officer of Southern Cross Austereo, has been elected as the new Chair of the Board of Commercial Radio Australia (CRA).

Grant Blackley, chief executive officer of Southern Cross Austereo, has been elected as the new Chair of the Board of Commercial Radio Australia (CRA). Blackley replaces Adam Lang, who stepped down from the role after a four-year stint. Lang will remain on the board and retain his role as chair of the CRA Research Committee.

Blackley has worked in media for over 30 years. He has been a director of the CRA Board since 2015 and continues to serve as a director at Free TV Australia.

Blackley has released a statement regarding his new position, sharing "The commercial radio industry is a dynamic and innovative multiplatform medium and I look forward to working collaboratively as Chair of CRA with all key stakeholders including the networks and station members, industry commentators and observers as well as key political and government agencies.”  

Ciaran Davis, managing director and chief executive officer of ARN and HT&E has made his return to the CRA Board. He will be replacing outgoing ARN, CEO Rob Atkinson.
