Former Triple J Host Ash McGregor Launches Podcast Series
'Listen Up' will feature "deep-dive interviews, curated playlists, tastemaker recommendations, and community interaction."

Ash McGregor is entering the podcast business.
Announced today, the former triple j host is launching Listen Up, a podcast series which will feature "deep-dive interviews, curated playlists, tastemaker recommendations, and community interaction" in a "multi-platform experience."
McGregor's transition into podcasting follows a five-year stint as host of triple j's Home & Hosed show, where she championed rising Australian talent such as Royel Otis and BOY SODA.
“At a time when algorithms dictate so much of what we listen to, fans are craving a human voice that brings heart and context back to music discovery,” Ash shares in a statement. “Listen Up is about creating those meaningful connections, giving artists a space to tell their full story, and giving fans a place to discover new favourites they won’t find in a playlist shuffle.”
Listen Up will begin with two episodes each week, with early recordings featuring appearances by 5 Seconds of Summer member Calum Hood and rapper YNG Martyr, captured at Los Angeles' Spotify Studios.
According to a press release, "Listen Up is more than a podcast. It is a cultural movement filling a void in Australia’s music landscape. Despite extraordinary talent, local artists often struggle for visibility in the global marketplace. At the same time, there is no well-executed, well-researched, and personable music podcast that champions homegrown talent while also serving as the go-to stop for international artists visiting the country. Listen Up fills that gap."
Episodes of Listen Up will be available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube, with playlists, edits, and conversations extending across TikTok, Discord, Patreon, and live shows. Fans will be invited not just to listen, but to participate through livestreams, events, and interactive spaces curated by McGregor.
