Grammy-winning Aussie songwriter / producer duo FNZ – whose most recent worldwide hit is ‘Stay’ by The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber – signed a global deal with Pulse Music Group.

It covers their catalogue as well as future works.

Michael ‘Finatik’ Mulé and Isaac ‘Zac’ De Boni have songs on #1 albums by Kanye West, Pop Smoke and A$AP Rocky, and have worked with Drake, Denzel Curry, G-Eazy, Meek Mill, Logic, Big KRIT and Jaden Smith.

Pulse's SVP and head of creative, Ashley Calhoun, said it's an honour to welcome the duo into the Pulse family.

“It’s impressive to see producers work across genres as effortlessly as Finatik and Zac do, and they do it at the highest level – producing major hits for some of the most successful artists of this generation in both pop and hip-hop," Calhoun said.

Co-CEO Scott Cutler added that the duo are incredible songwriters and producers.

“They’ve worked with the biggest artists in the world and are actively shaping the sound of today’s popular music.

“We’re very proud to be able to represent them as their publisher.”

Te two Aussies said they're incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with Cutler, Calhoun, Josh (co-CEO) and the wider Pulse team.

“We know that we’re going to have a very long-lasting and successful relationship with them.

“Their approach to putting songs together and building relationships is second to none, and it’s clear that their dedication, work ethic and focus is what has made them such a force in the industry.

“They support our vision completely, and we’re excited for this new chapter."

Mulé and De Boni started in Perth devouring all the rap, hip-hop and R&B tracks they could find.

De Boni took piano lessons and with a high school friend Martin started to make beats.

Mulé started DJing, buying his first turntables at 12 and starting to battle at 14.

A few years later he placed second in the Australian DMC Finals.

Dazastah from WA hip-hoppers Downsyde gave tips and they scratched on a Drapht record.

Having day jobs they worked together on the weekends. Right from the beginning, they knew the plan was to go where that music came from.

They relocated to Miami in 2011, and things started moving. Their manager at the time introduced them to Grammy-winning producer Jim Jonsin (Beyoncé, Eminem, Lil Wayne).

In 2013 they met A$AP Rocky and impressed him with their deep knowledge of his music.

They worked on his albums, and their fame spread as his star rose.

Aside from ‘Stay’, FNZ’s standout work includes ‘Believe What I Say’, ‘Keep My Spirit Alive’, ‘Lord I Need You’ and ‘Tell The Vision’ from Kanye West’s DONDA, Drake’s ‘Lemon Pepper Freestyle’, ‘Have Mercy’ by Chloe Bailey, ‘Scapegoats’ by Baby Keem, ‘Inside’ by Logic, ‘She Knows This’ by Kid Cudi and ‘Ricky’ by Denzel Curry.
