Justin Bieber Ends Alex Warren’s ARIA Chart Streak

Justin Bieber is the new king, as the returning pop idol dethrones Alex Warren on the ARIA Singles Chart.

Bieber collects his ninth ARIA No. 1 with “Daisies” (via Def Jam/Universal), which blooms 3-1 in its second week on the tally.

According to ARIA, Bieber is now tied with Delta Goodrem, Pink and Eminem on the list of acts with the most No. 1 singles.

The Canadian pop singer topped the leaderboard with “What Do You Mean” (in 2015), “Lose Yourself” (2015-16), “Cold Water” with Major Lazer and MO (2016), “Despacito” with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee (2017), “I’m The One” with DJ Khaled and others (2017), “I Don’t Care” with Ed Sheeran (2019), “Peaches” (2021), and “Stay” with The Kid LAROI in 2021-22.

“Daisies” is housed on Bieber’s surprise LP release SWAG, which dips 2-3 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

Meanwhile, it’s the end of a 17-week run for Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” (Atlantic/Warner), the longest by a solo international artist. “Ordinary” is down 1-3. The California singer and songwriter can keep his chin up. Thanks to the release of an expanded version of his debut album You’ll Be Alright, Kid, the collection soars 25-2, a new peak position.

Also, with “Eternity” opening its account at No. 10 on the ARIA Singles Chart, published Friday July 25th, Warren nabs the week's top new release. His duet with Jelly Roll, “Bloodline”, returns to the top 40, up 48-30, after peaking at No. 12 in late May.

"Ordinary" jointly holds second spot on the all-time list of longest reigning singles with Bieber and LAROI's "Stay," behind only Tones & I's "Dance Monkey," which boasts a gargantuan 24 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1. 

Over on the ARIA Albums Chart, the soundtrack to Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters (Republic/Universal) locks-up top spot for a third consecutive week.

Tyler, The Creator’s continues his own chart streak with Don’t Tap The Glass (Columbia/Sony), his ninth studio album. Don’t Tap The Glass debuts No. 4, for his seventh consecutive top 20 album.

Finally, Jessie Murph has a new career peak with Sex Hysteria (Columbia/Sony). It’s new at No. 12 on the albums tally. The Alabama-born singer reached No. 76 last year with her debut, That Ain’t No Man That’s The Devil. The 20-year-old artist will visit Australia for a national tour this November, produced by Live Nation. All shows are sold-out.
