Multi-award winning country music hit-makers Florida Georgia Line have put Australia’s coastal scenery front and centre in the video for H.O.L.Y., the lead single off of forthcoming album Dig Your Roots.

Filmed during the Orlando-based duo’s Australian visit in March where they headlined sold out festival CMC Rocks QLD, the clip was shot on location over two days at The Twelve Apostles, just outside of Melbourne, off of the Great Ocean Road.

Featuring the highest cliffs in mainland Australia and the sweeping vistas of a 25,000 year dormant volcano, the video acts as the backdrop to the track’s premise, a piano-driven and beautifully restrained ode to their wives: H.O.L.Y is an abbreviation for High On Loving You. Both Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley’s wives Brittney Cole Kelley and Hayley Hubbard also appear in the clip.

At time of writing, the video has clocked up over 2.5 million views.

Penned by hit makers busbee, Nate Cyphert, and William Larsen, the track was produced by the award-winning Joey Moi, who is behind the duo’s 2x Platinum debut album Here’s To The Good Times (2012).

In April, the debut record’s hit single Cruise became the first country song to be certified Diamond (10x Platinum) in the US. It now matches the success of Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance and Eminem’s Love the Way You Lie.

During behind-the-scenes footage shot at the video’s location Brian Kelley said “[It’s a] very spiritual place. There’s no better place to shoot this video. Goosebumps, man.”

Tyler Hubbard said of H.O.L.Y, “As we continue to grow and mature in our lives, we really wanted our music to start reflecting those changes. H.O.L.Y. definitely lets the fans see a deeper side to us and we’re excited about this next chapter.”

Florida Georgia Line kicked off their current Dig Your Roots tour in March. Aside from their sold out headlining spot at CMC Rocks festival, which sold 13,500 tickets, the duo performed side shows in Sydney and Melbourne, and performed at the sold out CMC Music Awards in Brisbane. The duo are now on the road in the US with Kane Brown, The Cadillac Three, and Cole Swindell.
