Erykah Badu and Sonos Radio launch curated station, BADUBOTRON

Erykah Badu and Sonos have collaborated on the launch of a curated station on Sonos Radio, BADUBOTRON.

Erykah Badu and Sonos Radio are celebrating the neo-soul vanguard's latest live music tour with the launch of a curated station on Sonos Radio, BADUBOTRON.

Dubbed as "a space where music genres are stars and the galaxy is filled with psychedelic funk, retro soul, classic rock, spiritual jazz and experimental hip hop," the radio station will be aired globally on Sonos Radio's free tier. To access, download the Sonos Radio app.

Sonos and Erykah Badu have also collaborated on the release of a special edition of her famous Badu Pussy Premium Incense, available at Badu World Market. Listeners without Sonos Radio can also tune in for a preview on MixCloud.

“WELL Listeners can expect whatever they please. I just want them to feel something. Something new, something good, something unfamiliar, something triggering, something that inspires them to peace…. Or war, or whatever they may need," Badu says of the station.

"Music makes me feel soooo great. There are billions and trillions of atomic memories in these notes. I curated this station especially for me… WITH you In mind, of course. I’m grateful. Push up the faderrrrrrrrrrrrr.”

SONOS unveiled their curated artist radio stations back in January. Unveiling a series of personal stations from the like of D’Angelo, FKA twigs, Björk and The Chemical Brothers, Thom Yorke, Brittany Howard, Dolly Parton and Third Man Records.

The stations offer fans an insight into the inspiration and obsessions of their favourite artists, through curatorial playlists and personal commentary.
