Ed Sheeran is coming (back) to a stadium near you.

The British pop superstar confirms he's bringing his Loop Tour to Australia and New Zealand in the early stages of 2026.

Produced by Frontier Touring and MG Live, which teased the trek earlier this week, Sheeran's 11-date trek will wind its way across NZ with stops in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, then head west for shows in Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Adelaide.

As the itinerary stands, he'll play twice in Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne, and Christchurch will get to see Sheeran perform live for the first time in 11 years.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, July 29th, at staggered times (see below). The Frontier Member pre-sale begins on Monday, July 28th, while the Telstra Plus Member pre-sale begins on Friday, July 25th.

The Loop Tour will follow the release of Sheeran's forthcoming album, Play (via Warner Music), due out on Friday, September 12th.

Play features recent singles "Azizam", "Sapphire", and "Old Phone", and is described as "an explorative, technicolour pop album that captures the fun, chaos, and heart of an artist reinvigorated by life and travel."

As a team, Sheeran and Frontier Touring, the company co-founded by his late bestie Michael Gudinski, set about smashing touring records for fun.

On his last visit to Australia, in early 2023 for + – = ÷ X Tour (pronounced The Mathematics Tour), Sheeran established several new marks at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, with 105,000 fans watching on for night one, a then-national record for a ticketed concert.

On the second and final night at the MCG, the "Shape Of You" singer set the record straight once more with 109,500 Sheerios filing through the gates.

When he previously made it to Australia, for his 14-date 2018 Divide swing, more than 1 million fans caught the action. That box-office feat finally removed Dire Straits’ 1986 Brothers In Arms trek — and its estimated 950,000 tickets sold — from the record books.

Also on that visit, Sheeran set a new mark for the number of stadium shows on a single tour by a solo artist (14).

It's a similar story on the ARIA Charts. The superstar British singer has released seven studio albums, all of which have gone to No. 1.
