'One of My Favourite Artists': Dua Lipa Brings Out Gwen Stefani for No Doubt Duet
“I wanted to dive into one of my personal heroes. One of my favourite artists, and who I grew up listening to my whole life,” Lipa told the crowd.

Another day, another notable Dua Lipa duet.
The pop superstar brought out fellow pop favourite Gwen Stefani at Los Angeles' Kia Forum on Wednesday night, where the pair performed No Doubt's classic song "Don't Speak" together.
“I wanted to dive into one of my personal heroes. One of my favourite artists, and who I grew up listening to my whole life,” Lipa told the crowd before Stefani arrived onstage. “Someone who’s influenced my music, my style, someone who I love as a performer, and someone who constantly keeps redefining herself and music. I just absolutely love her.”
She continued: “This incredible woman is here tonight. And so, L.A., you lucky fuckers, get to have the one and only, Gwen Stefani!"

Stefani wasn't a surprising guest for Lipa to bring out, with the pair showing each other appreciation in the past. They posed for photos together at the iHeart Music Festival last September, during which Stefani called Lipa the “prettiest girl in the world.” Stefani also joined Lipa for the Mark Ronson Remix of “Physical” back in 2020.
“We basically contacted Gwen and her team to try and clear the sample for ‘Hollaback Girl’, for Club Future Nostalgia,” Lipa told Apple Music in 2021. “And I was like, ‘Maybe we should just ask, put a feeler out, see if she wants to do something.’ And she loved Mark Ronson’s remix of ‘Physical’. And she was like, ‘I’d love to jump on this.’ I’m like, ‘Hell yeah, let’s go. This is surreal.’”

This Los Angeles appearance represents the latest addition to an impressive roster of special guests who have joined Lipa during the surprise song portion of her sets. The concept involves performing tracks from artists native to each tour city, with select nights featuring the actual musicians themselves. Previous collaborations have included Lenny Kravitz in New York for "It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over" and Leon Bridges in Dallas performing "Beyond".
Crowds at the Australia and New Zealand legs of Lipa's mammoth world tour didn't miss out on the surprise guests.
She brought out Crowded House frontman Neil Finn at her final Aotearoa show in April, with the pair performing Crowded House's classic song "Don't Dream It's Over".
At the first Auckland performance, Lipa covered Lorde‘s luxury fantasy hit “Royals", after welcoming Tame Impala's Kevin Parker to the stage in Sydney to perform Tame Impala’s “The Less I Know the Better”. Lipa previously performed “Rush” with Sivan and “Riptide” with Vance Joy.
