Dean Lewis lands major US sync deal

Dean Lewis is becoming one of the most sought-after artists in the US silver screen industry after landing his third TV sync.

After the mid-season finale of Suits Season 7 went to air last night, the acoustic version of 'Waves' hit #1 on the on the US Apple / iTunes singer-songwriter chart.

Dean Lewis posted the above on Facebook with the caption: "Ow my god ow my god - I can't believe I'm typing this. My mum doesn't know how to use computers but she knows how to google me at 5am... She messeged me 20 minutes ago to say waves is #1 on the US ?? ITunes singer/songwriter Charts. I'm not joking. I can't believe it??"

Sydney-based singer-songwriter Dean Lewis is becoming one of the most sought-after artists on the US small screen.

Following sync licenses for US TV series' Riverdale and Shadow Hunters, Dean Lewis' breakout single 'Waves' has been picked up by one of the USA network's most popular shows, Suits.

An acoustic version of the song will feature in the mid-season finale of Season 7, in the episode named after the cast's favourite sharp-witted woman, "Donna".

Since its release in September 2016, 'Waves' has achieved double Platinum certification, clocked up over 45 million streams globally, and spent this entire year in the ARIA top 40 Singles chart. It also peaked inside the Top 10 singles on Apple Music and Top 15 on Spotify.

Dean Lewis is having a banner 2017. Last month Dean Lewis completed his first headline shows in the US and Canada and is currently in the UK set to perform shows in London and Europe.

Next month, Lewis will return home for a national tour in support of his current single ‘Lose My Mind’ through November and December.
