Blak Day Out is back for 2026, locking in a standout First Nations lineup headed by Dan Sultan.
Following a sell-out 2025 edition, the festival - which celebrates the innovative, unstoppable and unapologetic voices of First Nations artists from across Australia - will return as part of Brisbane's Open Season on Friday, July 24th at the Princess Theatre for an unforgettable night of music, culture, and community.
“This event is about joy, music and community, bringing people together to experience the incredible talent of Indigenous artists across genres,” said curator Alethea Beetson, founder of Blak Social.
“We’ve always had world-class artists in our communities. Blak Day Out is about creating a platform that matches that talent and energy.”
The 2026 lineup is led by Dan Sultan, one of Australia's most celebrated singer-songwriters (who has new music on the horizon). The seven-time ARIA Award winner has consistently delivered critically acclaimed, chart-topping releases, including his 2023 self-titled album.
Renowned for his electrifying performances, he has headlined the Sydney Opera House Forecourt, toured orchestral renditions of Blackbird with leading symphony orchestras and shared stages with global icons including Bruce Springsteen and Midnight Oil.
He'll be joined by rowdy Queensland four-piece Beddy Rays, rising R&B star Becca Hatch, indie-pop princess Jem Cassar-Daley, and the ever-poetic Rox Lavi.
