The Australian and New Zealand legs of Beyoncé’s The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour grossed $40 million, tour promoter Live Nation announced today. She drew nearly 220,000 fans across ten highly acclaimed shows in Australia and four in New Zealand, marking it her biggest tour in this part of the world.

In Perth on the weekend, the final show of the tour drew 14,758, breaking the Perth Arena’s attendance record for a single concert. The previous record was set by Pink in June.

In Auckland, the Beyoncé tour was the fastest selling tour of the year for Vector Arena, and also set a new attendance record for the venue for a solo artist. The singer drew 44,596 over four nights, breaking the previous record set by Roger Waters.

Michael Coppel, Melbourne-based President and CEO of Live Nation Australasia said: “All of us at Live Nation Australia have been thrilled to share in the outstanding success that Beyoncé’s tour has enjoyed here. I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked with Beyoncé since the first Destiny’s Child tour in 2000 but this tour has been an absolute standout in terms of the showcasing her unparalleled talent, energy and joy for performing in one of the most spectacular productions ever to visit this country.”
