Australian music fans will get to view the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Cleveland for the first time – as long as they are Amazon Prime members.

It is set to screen from July 1.

Amazon Prime Video is screening it globally to 34 countries, and will mark a first for fans in New Zealand, South Africa and Europe to see it.

The 33rd Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was held on April 14.

One of the highlights was the reunion by Bon Jovi with Richie Sambora and Alec John Such.

Host Howard Stern told the guests: "The bubonic plague only killed 50 million people… peanuts compared to 130 million Bon Jovi albums!"

Coincidentally, TEG Dainty announced this morning that Bon Jovi were returning to tour Australia in December.

The This House Is Not For Sale tour kicks off in Melbourne at the iMCG on Saturday December 1, followed by Adelaide’s Botanic Park on Tuesday 4, QSAC in Brisbane on Thursday December 6 and finishing in Sydney at ANZ Stadium on Saturday December 8.

The Cleveland ceremony included the inductions of the Moody Blues, one-off reunions by The Cars and Dire Straits, Nina Simone (with Lauryn Hill and Andra Day paying tribute), and gospel and blues pioneer Sister Rosetta Tharpe inducted by Alabama Shakes' Brittany Howard.

There were touching homages to Tom Petty by The Killers, and Chris Cornell by Heart's Ann Wilson and Alice in Chains' Jerry Cantrell.

Said Joel Peresman, president and CEO of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation: "We are thrilled to share this event with a worldwide audience for the first time."

In the run-up, Amazon Music has created a 2018 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame music playlist featuring songs by each of the 2018 inductees.
