Australia confirmed for Coldplay movie via Amazon Prime Video

The documentary film is directed by Mat Whitecross, who has known the band for over 20 years.

Australia is confirmed to get a new Coldplay movie for streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.

Called A Head Full of Dreams, it is an in-depth portrait of the band over the last 20 years exclusively.

Australia is one of four territories to get it on Friday, November 16 for streaming, alongside the UK, the US and New Zealand.

A Head Full of Dreams will screen in 2,000 cinemas worldwide for one night only, on Wednesday, November 14.

Coldplay will also premiere three live recordings on Amazon Music, which arrive on Friday, October 26.

They are a duet with Barry Gibb on Stayin’ Alive at the Glastonbury festival, Us Against The World (Live in Leipzig) and Don’t Panic (Live in Paris).

He captured everything from the very first time they rehearsed in a cramped student bedroom – when a fresh-faced Chris Martin, whom the others describe as a “real ball of energy”, tells the camera they’re going to be a massive band one day – to when they play to hundreds of thousands of fans with one of rock’s most spectacular shows.

Whitecross also captures the dynamic relationships between the four.

He directed some of their videos, including Paradise, A Sky Full Of Stars and Adventures Of A Lifetime.
