APRA AMCOS to Aus musicians - "It's time to get paid"
$7.2 million in performance royalties were paid to 16,000 APRA members last year.

APRA AMCOS is encouraging any and all Australian songwriters to submit performance reports to actually get paid for their work.
Over the last year, APRA has paid $7.2 million in performance royalties to 16,000 members to compensate them for their live gigs.
All musicians have to do to reap the rewards from their hard work is apply for a membership or log onto their ARPA AMCOS account and share the details of their performances from the last 12 months.
Gold Coast success story Amy Shark, who this weekend will take to the main stage at Splendour In The Grass, says that the royalties that she received when she was gigging kept her afloat.
"I played gigs for many years and it helped to make me a better songwriter," Shark said.
"The live performance royalty also really helped to fund my ambitions when I was first starting out. Don’t miss out, submit your setlists."
To assist songwriters in submitting their performance reports before the July 31 deadline, APRA AMCOS is running free workshops in Adelaide, Fremantle, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Darwin throughout this week and next.
