2019 ARIA Awards: A look at the nominees, by the numbers [updated]

The 2019 ARIA Award Nominations have been announced.

Tones And I is leading the charge with 8 nominations while Hilltop Hoods, Teskey Brothers, Julia Jacklin and Thelma Plum also have high chances of taking home that pointy trophy.

There's also a healthy cross-section of first time nominees and legends with Paul Kelly sitting alongside names like G Flip.

The awards are set to go down on Wednesday, November 27 and will be hosted by Guy Sebastian who has also picked up a handful of nominations.

Before that happens though, we’ve crunched the numbers of this year’s bunch to see which artists and labels have come out on top for the 2019 ceremony.

While Universal Music and Sony Music scored plenty of nominations there was also a strong showing from Island Records and ABC Records, both tallying 18 nominations each, and Mushroom who nabbed 17 nominations.
