UNFD has announced the signing of Florida-based band Moodring to its global roster, continuing the local label's push into the international market.

The Orlando alt-rock outfit's signing coincides with UNFD's reissue of the band's recent EP Showmetherealyou, which is bolstered by the addition of bonus track 'Empty Me Out'.

The band's frontman Hunter Young described Moodring's lyrical content as "pure teenage angst", saying that the band's name acts as an indicator of their sonic ethos.

“Moodring is not easily defined," Young said.

"Our sound can and will change, morph and evolve, even across the course of a single song. Our identity is genre-fluid."

Moodring's signing is the latest in a number of international signings from the Melbourne-based UNFD, with Hollow Front, Sleep Walker and Vatican also joining the label's roster.

UNFD's senior A&R manager and North American label manager, Francesca Caldara, said that the label was excited to be expanding its global roster and is looking forward to representing Moodring's forthcoming material.

"We’re excited to be expanding our global roster with a band like Moodring, who are blending everything I loved about 90’s nu-metal and grunge with such a modern and moody approach to alternative music," Caldara said.

"Hunter is truly one of a kind and I’m thrilled to get to play a part of his musical journey."
