Island Australia inks Central Coast trio The Million
The band has released new single 'Somebody Better'.

Island Records Australia has signed NSW Central Coast trio The Million to a global deal.
Their first single for the label 'Somebody Better’ is a mix of funk, R&B and pop and is released today.
After the collapse of an unhealthy relationship, vocalist and guitarist Jacob Thomas met his current girlfriend – herself coming out of a toxic relationship – and imagined what would happen if their respective exes got together.
Jacob and Jay Stewart met in high school, and formed Million in 2015.
After a varying lineup, they reconnected with bassist Tamon, a jazz and hip-hop fan, at a Paramore concert.
They self-released their debut EP Hydration Station and followed it up with a sell-out East Coast run.
Earlier this year, they signed management to War Road Management, the team behind Nothing But Thieves, The Wrecks, and founders of Drive-Thru Records.
