ABC Music has bolstered its artist roster with the signing of Melbourne singer-songwriter Gretta Ziller for the release of her latest new music.

Ziller will drop her new single 'Unlikely Believer' this Friday, July 17 through ABC Music, with the track produced by Paul Ruske and engineered by Richard Stolz (Tones & I, Tash Sultana, Paul Kelly, Husky) and Richard Dodd (Tom Petty, George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Larkin Poe, Keb' Mo').

Her eclectic style includes stylistic references to genres including jazz, blues, rock, pop and classical, and that eclecticism, and head of ABC music and events, Natalie Waller, said the label is excited to welcome Ziller to the imprint.

"We are thrilled to have Gretta join the ABC Music roster. We have been impressed by Gretta’s achievements over the last 3 years, she is such an accomplished singer and songwriter, and are excited to work with her to take her music to an even wider audience," Waller said.

'Unlikely Believer' is an optimistic look at hardship, and drops with a clip directed by Arlo Dean Cook featuring Ziller's live band. The clip harks back to a time when gigs were more commonplace, and was filmed at the Palace Westgarth Cinemas in Northcote, Victoria.

“I wrote 'Unlikely Believer' to remind myself that although I’ve been through a lot in life that it’s harder but so much more rewarding to keep believing in things, rather than dwelling on the hurt and hardship," said Ziller.

Ziller is an Australian Music Prize nominee (2018) for her debut album Queen Of Boomtown, and was also nominated for The Age Music Victoria Awards. She has also received 2 Golden Guitar nominations and is an APRA PD finalist.
