GG McG signs with Sony-backed label NOiZE Recordings

Giulia Giannini McGauran, known for her band photography and creative direction, has signed with NOiZE Recordings, releasing a new single under her moniker GG McG to mark the occasion.

NOiZE Recordings is a joint venture with Sony Music Entertainment Australia and was founded by producer Jarrad Rogers, who has collaborated with the likes of Diplo, Mark Ronson and Charli XCX. McGauran is the label's second signing after emerging act Ashwarya.

GG McG's latest single, 'Good Morning', is her first release this year and second overall, following 'Boom' in 2019. The song was written on GarageBand during lockdown and was produced by Japanese Wallpaper's Gab Strum, mixed by Konstantin Kersting and mastered by Andrei Eremin.

"'Good Morning' is about the total, complete chaos of the past year and the feeling of waking up every morning, reading the news and being blown away by just how much worse things were than the day before," McGauran said in a statement.

In the past, McGauran has conducted photo shoots with Tones And I, Tash Sultana, The Rubens, Saba and more acts. Her work has been featured on the cover of Rolling Stone Australia and Times Square billboards.
