Farmer & The Owl are going global, today revealing their first international signing to the label.

Joining a roster that includes Hockey Dad, Bad//Dreems, Paradise Club, TEES and The Pinheads is Vundabar, an indie rock duo from Boston, Massachusetts.

The band first caught the attention of rising indie label Farmer & The Owl and its co-founder, Jeb Taylor, when they toured the US with the Aussie surf-rock band Hockey Dad in 2017.

“The first time I saw Vundabar they totally owned a show at the Bowery in New York," Taylor said. "They were fun and full of energy but beneath all of that were some really amazing songs.

"After seeing them a few more times across the US on tour with Hockey Dad and getting to know them, I really wanted to help introduce the band to Australia."

Vundabar were set to visit Australian shores this year to support Hockey Dad. But despite those shows being postponed thanks to COVID-19, Vundabar plan to tour down under soon.

"After listening to their previous record 'Smell Smoke' a lot over the last couple of years, I'd built up plenty of anticipation for the new album," Taylor admits.

"When I was sent a copy of it, I knew we needed to make a local release happen for it and thankfully everything aligned so it could.

"I really look forward to more people hearing this band in our part of the world and also everyone eventually experiencing the band live down here.”

Vundabar shares their new single ‘Burned Off’ today, the first from their upcoming album Either Light, produced by Patrick Hyland (Mitski), and is set for an Aussie release in August.
