Cooking Vinyl Australia has signed award-winning country artist Fanny Lumsden. Her first release through the new deal is the cheeky bop ‘Peed In The Pool’.

Fiercely independent with her own label (Red Dirt Road Records) and successful touring brand (The Country Halls Tour), Lumsden has topped the ARIA Country Albums Chart, won two Golden Guitars and a CMC Award, and been nominated for an ARIA.

"I didn't see this coming, however, I couldn't be more thrilled to be working with such a motivated and compassionate team in CVA", said Lumsden

"Myself and Dan (Freeman) have been so very DIY and finding a team of people that really care about the songs, the work, and those small details like we do was really important.

“Joining forces with CVA will only amplify what we have built with Red Dirt Road Records and we are very excited about getting new music into the world.”

Growing up on a farm in Western NSW, 600km from the nearest city, Lumsden’s seemingly idyllic upbringing included riding horses and helping out on the property.

Music was a big part of the Lumsden household with everyone playing instruments and singing.

Having completed her AMEB grades on piano and music studies at high school, Lumsden went away to study a Bachelor of Rural Science before moving to Sydney. There she started playing shows and attending songwriter nights.

It was there she met her band members The Thrillseekers and from that point, the Fanny Lumsden story began.
