After a few false starts with her previous record label, powerhouse singer-songwriter and actress Bonnie Anderson is back for another crack.

She's signed a global deal with BMG and today released new single 'Sorry' - an emotional radio-ready song about "love" and "survival" written during a 2016 writing trip in Los Angeles.

"Sorry is about a relationship and going through hard times," says Anderson.

"I went through a passionate but toxic relationship and came out the other end.

"My world was turned upside down, I was young and exposed to a lifestyle that really opened my eyes in more ways than one.

"There were incredible times and there were bad times that were pretty confronting."

The 24-year-old has an impressive platform on which to launch the new track, her first commercial release since 'Blackout' in 2016.

Anderson plays Beatrix on Aussie TV show  Neighbours, where she will perform 'Sorry' on set and in character for an upcoming storyline.

While not as popular in Australia since its move from Network Ten to digital channel Eleven in 2011 (later rebranded 10 Peach), Neighbours is still broadcast in over 65 territories with millions of loyal viewers.

That's the kind of exposure that can skyrocket careers, as it did for Delta Goodrem back in 2003 when she performed 'Born to Try'. It went on to achieve triple Platinum certification in Australia, establishing a long and lucrative career in the music industry.

BMG and Fremantle will be hoping for a repeat of Goodrem's success.

“BMG is proud to partner with our friends at Fremantle to launch this recorded music joint venture and welcome Bonnie Anderson as our first signing," says Heath Johns, managing director at BMG Australia & New Zealand.

"Bonnie is a born performer and a genuine talent and BMG is excited to take ‘Sorry’ and future releases from Bonnie to the world.”

'Sorry' was serviced to radio this morning and immediately got its first spin on KIIS FM Sydney with Kyle and Jackie O.
