Amy Shark signs new management deal with US-based Red Light

Red Light Management has inked homegrown Amy Shark to a global management deal.

The Gold Coast singer-songwriter signed with Red Light's president Will Botwin, who personally manages Brandi Carlile and the Tom Petty Estate.

Shark's latest release came as a feature on The Chainsmokers' hit single 'The Reaper', but it was her 2016 single 'Adore' that saw the Aussie breakthrough the Aussie commercial market and overseas, including the notoriously tricky North America.

Since her first spin on triple j four years ago (July 28, 2016), the Gold Coast native has surpassed all expectations with #1 hit on the TMN Hot 100, ARIA Awards and a chart-topping debut through label Wonderlick and Sony Music.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Amy Shark join the Red Light Management team," said Botwin of the signing.

"Amy is an extraordinary songwriter and singer and we are looking forward to helping develop Amy’s career further on a global scale.”

The independent music management firm also represents Dave Matthews Band, Chris Stapleton, Lionel Richie and Maren Morris, among others.

Shark's debut album Love Monster reached #1 and Platinum certification on the ARIA Charts.

The record produced a series of radio hits including 'I Said Hi', 'All Loved Up' and 'Mess Her Up', while she also collaborated with blink-182's Mark Hoppus on 'Psycho'.

She was previously managed by UNIFIED Music Group's Jaddan and Rachael Comerford.

TMN understands that relationship ended in early 2019, with Shark's husband Shane Billings overseeing her career until inking with Red Light last month.
