The latest single from Aussie artist Olympia is a triumphant cut from her next album, a track that truly reflects the powerful pop sensibilities that underpin her musical style.

'Hounds' is a driving release, ever-escalating towards a compelling climax, and is the third single to be lifted from her forthcoming record Flamingo.

It comes off the back of her tour of the UK and Europe supporting Julia Jacklin, and if 'Hounds' is anything to go by, we are set to see a bolder Olympia on her second album (out July 5).

“The record explores how grief and desire are intertwined," says Olivia Bartley, aka Olympia.

"It’s referencing a personal tragedy – the addiction and loss of someone very close to me.”

Flamingo was co-produced with Burke Reid, a collaborator of Courtney Barnett and DMA'S.

“It’s the most personal I’ve ever been, but also the most confident. This album is a force.”
