SOTD: Conrad Sewell tugs at the heartstrings on ‘Love Me Anyway’
Sewell is releasing his debut album in May, followed closely by a headline tour of Australia.
ARIA Award-winning singer-songwriter Conrad Sewell has just made a string of massive announcements to kickstart 2019.
The Aussie dropped a new single last Thursday titled 'Love Me Anyway' coupled with the news of his debut studio album LIFE (released May 17). All this comes with the announcement of an upcoming Australian tour.
‘Love Me Anyway’ - a warming piano-led ballad - will hit radio this week. The track showcases Sewell's outstanding falsetto vocals and harmonic choral arrangements, landing it a spot on TMN's Singles To Radio chart.
Sewell said of the new record: “A lot of the album was inspired by my battles with addiction, regrets I have as a result of those battles, and the people I’ve hurt along the way.
“I wanted to make a classic timeless album with songs that will hopefully be played 50 years from now. No bells and whistles, just my truth and my voice singing with every ounce of pain and love that I have.”
Featuring on the new album will be multi-Platinum hit ‘Healing Hands’. It peaked at #4 on the TMN Hot 100 and spent six weeks in the Top 10, while also hitting #3 on the AU iTunes chart and #6 on Apple Music.
