BOY SODA will release his highly anticipated debut album, SOULSTAR, on October 3rd.

SOULSTAR is described as a "bold and genre-blurring statement," with songs featuring his "signature blend of futuristic production and emotional lyricism."

The 13-track album features standout singles such as "Blink Twice" and "Lil' Obsession".

Recorded in the Blue Mountains, BOY SODA enlisted his "talented mates" to boost the album, which features a three-piece horn section, string quartet, backing vocalists, live piano, drums, congas, and lap steel guitar.

“There was this communal feeling that we were all doing something really incredible and special,” he says. “It felt over-indulgent being able to have that many live instruments.

"I’m very aware of the rarity and the privilege to be able to make that album. But hey, who better than to call on your talented mates to make something special happen.”

The record is set to cap his rapid rise to the top of Australian R&B, which has seen him almost rack up 5 million streams worldwide for the album's first single "Lil' Obsession".

Away from his debut album, BOY SODA has received artist co-signs from the likes of Muni Long, Ambré, and Sasha Keable. He's currently in the US for songwriting sessions, not resting on his laurels for a second.

He also memorably covered Panic! at the Disco's classic "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" for triple's Like A Version, proving that he can turn even the most emo song into a soulful R&B gem. To celebrate his Like A Version session, BOY SODA dropped his cover on streaming platforms.

Looking ahead, SOULSTAR will drop between headline shows, with BOY SODA set to bring the album to fans at Sydney's Lazybones on October 1st (sold out), followed by The Evelyn in Melbourne on October 11th (more information below).

BOY SODA's SOULSTAR is out October 3rd via Warner Music Australia (pre-order here).
