The Meltdown dominate in The Community Radio Charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the top ten tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees The Meltdown take out #1 in both the Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts.

The Meltdown have dominated in the Amrap Regional and Amrap Metro Charts, with their track Crooked Country taking out #1 in both charts. The Meltdown’s self-titled debut album was PBS FM Melbourne’s Feature Album of The Week and was also included on 2SER’s Servin’ Up. The Cactus Channel & Sam Cromack make another appearance in the Amrap Metro Chart this week, with I’m Not Ready To Relax debuting at #2. Do It For Nothing, the collaboration EP between The Cactus Channel and Sam Cromack, has been featured on 2SER’s Servin’ Up. Aleyce Simmonds enters the Amrap Regional Chart at #2 with the country track Anchor. Adelaide-based rockers Bad//Dreems debut in the Amrap Metro Chart at #3 with Feeling Remains. Bad//Dreems second album Gutful is Radio Adelaide’s Feature Album of the Week, SYN Radio’s Feature Album of the Week and also appeared on 2SER’s Servin’ Up. Emma Dykes debuts in the Amrap Regional Chart at #3 with her track The Man Of The House. The emotive country track has received airplay at a vast assortment of stations including at Radio Mama and Voice of The Avon in WA, Northside Radio and 2NVR in NSW, Gin Gin’s Own and Fraser Coast Community Radio in QLD, Trax FM, 5 Triple Z and Radio Alexandrina in SA as well as 3WAY-FM, 99.9 Voice FM, 96.5 Inner FM, Triple H and Whitehorse Boroondara Community Radio in VIC. 

Fremantle’s San Cisco takes out #4 in both the Amrap Regional and Amrap Metro Charts with their upbeat pop-rock track Hey, Did I Do You Wrong?. feedtime take out #5 in the Amrap Metro Chart, with Any Good Thing appearing in the chart for the third week running. Any Good Thing features in Tone Deaf’s ’The 7 Best Aussie Songs You Haven’t Heard’ with PBS FM Melbourne’s Music Director Cam Durnsford. Check out the article here. Shukura Chapman enters the Amrap Regional Chart at #5 with her latest track Release Me. Tamil Rogeon debuts in the Amrap Metro Chart, with The Splendour (feat. Bobby Valentine) taking out #6. Tamil Rogeon’s album 24 Hours in Lapa was PBS FM Melbourne’s Feature Record of the Week. The funk-soul, jazz-pop track has received airplay from stations including Harvey Community Radio in WA, 5 Triple Z In SA, Fraser Coast Radio in QLD as well as 96.5 Inner FM, Yarra Valley FM and 3MGB Wilderness Radio in VIC.

Rachael Leahcar appears at #6 in the Amrap Regional Chart with What They Don’t Tell You. The track features on SYN Radio Melbourne’s Sweet 16 and has received further airplay from FBi Radio Sydney, Sunraysia Community Radio in VIC, Harvey Community Radio in WA, as well as WOW FM and 5 Triple Z in SA.

Graham Moes & The Petrichor move up to #7 in the Amrap Regional Chart with The Helm. The soulful track, which features distorted electric guitar licks and a three piece horn section, has received airplay from City Park Radio in TAS, Noosa Community Radio and Fraser Coast Community Radio in QLD, 5 Triple Z, Fleurieu FM and Radio Alexandria in SA, TLC-FM, Nambucca Valley Radio and Northside Radio in NSW as well as Seymour FM, 3WBC, Voice FM, 96.5 Inner FM, Sunraysia Community Radio, 3MGB and UGFM in VIC.

Meg Mac holds onto #8 in the Amrap Regional Chart once more this week, with latest single Low Blows, the first off her debut album.
