Monsta X continue TMN Hot 100 rise with French Montana collab

K-Pop group Monsta X have piqued the interested of Aussie radio with their latest single.

‘WHO DO U LOVE?’ features US rapper French Montana and impacted radio for the first time last week, following strong streaming numbers since its June release.

They've already sold out arenas worldwide, and having performed shows in Sydney and Melbourne last month, it appears the popular K-Pop act could be following in the footsteps of BTS.

'WHO DO U LOVE?' entered the TMN Hot 100 Airplay Chart at #74 off the back of spins from Edge Radio and Hit Network Nights.

This week (July 5) the track rose five frames to #69.

Based on those numbers, Forbes' prediction that "Monsta X are making moves toward an overseas crossover" looks to be ringing true.

While this is the first charting impact for Monsta X in Australia, French Montana has pedigree at radio, and his feature will undoubtedly have helped the K-Pop act.

Montana’s highest point was a lead artist came when he reached #18 on the Hot 100 with ‘Unforgettable’ ft. Swae Lee.

As a feature artist, he went as high as #14 on David Guetta & Afrojack's 'Dirty Sexy Money', and also cracked the Top 25 on Sigala’s 'Just Got Paid' (#24).
