The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the top ten tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week Kirin J. Callinan climbs into #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart, with Owen Campbell debuting at #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart.

Kirin J. Callinan has moved into #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart with Bravado. Watch the official video for the electronic single as featured via Amrap Pages, on station websites including Fraser Coast in QLD, HFM in WA, as well as FBi Radio and Bay FM in NSW. Bravado, the second solo album from Kirin J. Callinan, was FBi Radio’s Album of the Week, SYN’s Australian Album of the Week as well as featuring in PBS FM’s Top Ten. The charting track has amassed airplay from OCR FM in VIC, Fraser Coast FM in QLD, Triple B and 2BOB Radio in NSW, Albany Community Radio and HFM in WA, as well as Hills Radio, 5 Triple Z and Fleurieu FM in SA.

Owen Campbell debuts in the Amrap Regional Chart at #1 with Rise. Watch an intimate live rendition of Rise, as featured via Amrap Pages, on station websites including Noosa FM in QLD, 3WAY FM in VIC as well as Northside Radio in NSW. Mere Women move up to #2 in the Amrap Metro Chart with their track Eternally. Watch the official video for the punk-rock track, as featured via Amrap Pages on station websites including Edge Radio Hobart, Voice of the Avon in WA, FBi Radio and 2GLF in NSW, as well as Triple R and 96.5 Inner FM in VIC. Big Skies, the third LP from Mere Women was PBS FM’s Feature Album of the Week, with Eternally also being added to Edge Radio’s New Music List and FBi Radio’s New Music List. 

Making her debut in the Amrap Regional Chart is Kelly Brouhaha with the track As Long As There’s A Smile charting at #2. Gretta Ziller moves up to #3 in the Amrap Regional Charts with Slaughterhouse Blues. Sensible J stopped by Get Down on Triple R Melbourne, and was joined by Remi and Sampa The Great who feature as vocalists on Fire Sign. The trio discussed creating the collaborative track, working and touring together, and also treated listeners to an impressive performance of the charting single. School Damage appear at #7 during their third Amrap Metro charting week with the track Tall Poppies. The Melbourne-based foursome performed an energetic Studio 5 Live Set on Mixing Up The Medicine on PBS FM Melbourne. Tall Poppies has received airplay from CAAMA in NT, Radio 4EB in QLD, 2BOB Radio and Yass FM in NSW, Heritage FM, HFM and Voice of The Avon in WA, 3CR, 3MDR, 3MGB Wilderness Radio, 3WAY FM and OCR FM in VIC as well as 5 Triple Z, 5GTR FM, Fleurieu FM, Three D Radio and Tribe FM in SA. 

D Henry Fenton takes out #7 in the Amrap Regional Chart with Tiny Pieces. Watch the official video for the charting track, as featured via Amrap Pages on station websites including Fraser Coast FM in VIC, 3WAY FM and 96.5 Inner FM in VIC as well as Northside Radio and Triple H in NSW. Big Orange debuts in the Amrap Metro Chart at #8 with Famous. The dynamic pop-rock track was included in FBi Radio’s New Music List, RTRFM’s Sound Selection, and received additional airplay from 5 Triple Z in SA, Star FM in TAS, Voice of The Avon in WA, Nag Radio and Coast FM in QLD, UGFM – Radio Murrindindi, 3WBC and 96.5 Inner FM in VIC as well as Triple H FM, 2RRR and Tank FM in NSW.

Kardajala Kirridarra are charting at #8 in the Amrap Regional Chart with Ngabaju (Grandmother’s Song). Eleanor Dixon, the vocalist and songwriter of Kardajala Kirridarra, chatted with Gloria and Ro on The Shortlist on SYN Melbourne, where she spoke of the four-piece’s formation, and the creation of their sound with the Mudburra language as its backbone. Ngabaju (Grandmother’s Song), the electronic track, which thematically draws on the importance of women as creators, appeared on RTRFM’s Sound Selection and also appeared in SYN’s Sweet 16. 

Julia Jacklin debuts at #9 in the Amrap Metro Chart with latest offering Eastwick. Watch the official video for Eastwick as featured via Amrap Pages on station websites including Triple R Melbourne as well as FBi Radio, and 2BBB in NSW. The slow-building, captivating rock track was included in FBi Radio’s New Music List as well as SYN’s Sweet 16, and received additional airplay from Bay FM in QLD, Star FM in TAS, Voice of The Avon in WA, 5 Triple Z and Radio Alexandrina in SA, 2EAR FM and Tank FM in NSW as well as 979fm, 3WAY-FM, 3CR and 96.5 Inner FM in VIC.

Simpson, Espie, Ferrier, Waters appear at #9 in the Amrap Regional Charts with You’ll Never Know. The blues-roots track has earned community radio airplay from 88.9 Hills Radio in SA, Cairns FM, Fraser Coast FM, and Nag Radio in QLD, 2CCR, 97.9 Valley FM, and Nambucca Valley Radio in NSW, as well as Seymour FM, 99.9 Voice FM, Eastern FM, 96.5 Inner FM, Otways Community Radio, Mitchell Community Radio, and 3WAY FM in VIC.

Crepes make their debut in the Amrap Metro Chart at #10 with Sexyland. The pop-rock tune, which is the first taste from Crepes’ upcoming debut album, was added to RTRFM’s Sound Selection and SYN’s Sweet 16, with further airplay from Star FM in TAS, PBS FM and 96.5 Inner FM in VIC, as well as Tribe FM, 5 Triple Z and PBA FM in SA.
