Australian hip-hop star The Kid LAROI has debuted at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with his Justin Bieber collaboration 'Stay'.

Taking the top spot from Ed Sheeran's 'Bad Habits', 'Stay' marks the 17-year-old's second #1 on the singles charts after 'Without You', which peaked at #1 in May of this year.

The single, which also earned #1 on Spotify's Streaming Charts, acts as the first taste of The Kid LAROI's forthcoming project F*ck Lov3, which is scheduled to arrive later this year.

The song also gives Bieber his fifth ARIA chart-topping hit, following the likes of ‘What Do You Mean?’ (#1 September 2015), ‘Love Yourself’ (#1 December 2015), ‘I Don’t Care’ with Ed Sheeran (#1 May 2019) and ‘Peaches’ (#1 April 2021).

ARIA's CEO Annabelle Herd commended The Kid LAROI on his success, celebrating the young hip-hop act's chart dominance at home and abroad.

“From Waterloo to the world. A huge congratulations to The Kid LAROI on taking out his second ARIA #1 single with 'Stay'," Herd said.

"It's fantastic to see an Australian artist receiving global recognition while also tasting big success at home.”
