Only three debuts make up the news in this week’s edition of Chart Predictions. Leading the way is Miami rapper XXXTentacion whose latest release ? is pushing for the Top 5. Lead single ‘SAD!’ has been making waves in the country already with a high point of #22 on the ARIA Singles Chart. That peak will be trumped again this week as the track makes a move towards the Top 10.
San Diego rockers Stone Temple Pilots dropped their eponymous album last Friday and are vying for a Top 30 chart debut. No doubt fans were keen to get their hands on the album to see if any of the band’s work with Chester Bennington in 2015 made it on to the record. STP’s 1994 ARIA Platinum album Purple entered the chart at #1 upon release and spent eight weeks in the Top 10 over the course of the next year.
Luke Combs’ first studio album The One’s For You rounds out this week of debuts. Lead cut ‘When It Rains It Pours’ is fairing well on the TMN Country airplay chart at #8, with a peak position at #3.
With a number of high profile tours finishing up around the country, albums from Dua Lipa (self-titled) Luke Bryan (What Makes You Country) and Bruno Mars (Doo-Wops & Hooligans) will make make substantial gains on the chart this week.
‘Freaky Friday’, the new single from Lil Dicky & Chris Brown, will start its run on the Singles Chart in the Top 30. Also debuting this week is US metalcore supergroup Bad Wolves. Their single 'Zombie' is getting some serious attention at radio from the national Triple M network, who’ve added the track across the board.
