ARIA mid-weeks: Hilltop Hoods hunting for a sixth #1 album
Standing in their way is the seemingly unstoppable Ariana Grande.

Hilltop Hoods’ most recent studio album The Great Expanse, released last Friday, has a good shot of landing at #1 on the next ARIA Albums Chart, according to mid-week data.
It will be the Hoods’ sixth consecutive chart-topping album in Australia, going back all the way to 2006’s The Hard Road.
Standing in their way is the seemingly unstoppable Ariana Grande. The US juggernaut has spent the last fortnight at the top of the chart with Thank U, Next as sales for the album continue to soar.
Also eyeing a Top 10 debut is Aussie singer-songwriter Julia Jacklin with new release Comfort. The Liberation Records artist peaked at #42 on the chart with her debut album Don’t Let The Kids Win in 2016.
Recent and upcoming tours of Australia is likely to prompt upward chart movement for Eminem (Curtain Call: The Hits), Red Hot Chili Peppers (Greatest Hits) and Elton John (Diamonds) this week.
