Breaking act Ali Gatie posts impressive TMN Hot 100 debut

'It's You' lands 2019's second-highest entry point for a new artist.

After coming close to cracking the airplay chart last week, Ali Gatie is off to a great start on the TMN Hot 100.

Across the board adoption by Nova and Hit’s Regional Network has seen the Canadian race straight into the Top 40.

'It's You' debuts at #33 and is this year's second-highest entry point for an artist charting on the Hot 100 for the first time.

The only higher debut was Dan + Shay’s ‘Tequila’ (#29), which impacted in the first week of 2019.

The single also holds the highest debut of the week, beating NF’s ‘Time’ (#68), and Taylor Swift’s most added single, ‘The Archer’ (#78).

Gatie’s presence has been steadily growing in Australia, peaking at #10 on Spotify and #15 on Apple Music, as well as #13 on the ARIA Singles Chart.

In the US, the track currently sits at #72 on the Billboard Hot 100 after six charting weeks, and #5 on Hot R&B Songs.
