Entries for TMN's 30 Under 30 Awards are officially open today

The hunt to unearth Australasia's youngest and brightest minds in the music biz begins now.

The TMN 30 Under 30 Awards will champion those who can demonstrate a genuine contribution to the biz via their current employer or, if self-employed, their business.

Above all, TMN is searching for fresh voices with a clear vision for the future of the music industry and the challenges it faces in the decade ahead.

Entries for the revived TMN 30 Under 30 awards officially open today and close February 21.

The 2020 instalment of the industry-first awards are made possible thanks to the support of APRA AMCOS, Eventbrite, MTV, Sony Music, Universal Music and Warner Music.

An all-star judging panel has been chosen to assess and evaluate every application and help select a shortlist of finalists and victors.

“Over six months in the planning, we’re excited to discover and spotlight the young executives that will play an influential role in shaping a healthy, diverse and inclusive future for the local music industry on the world stage,” said TMN’s editor & publisher, Jake Challenor.

Applicants can select from over ten awards categories. Try to identify which one you are prominently impacting. But don't worry if you choose the wrong one, TMN editors review all entries and will make the final call.

Five finalists, and ultimately three winners, will be selected from each of the ten categories. There will also be a publically voted Reader's Choice winner.

Awards & Industry Mixer: April 30

To be eligible, you must work in the music industry, or be in a closely related sector that has a direct connection to music. You must be a citizen of Australian or New Zealand or a permanent resident of either nation.

However, if you are based overseas, you are still eligible if you meet the previous criteria.

You must be aged 30 or under at the time you submit the entry form, which can only be submitted by the applicant, not a third-party or employer.

To celebrate, TMN is throwing an awards party and industry mixer in April and everyone is invited. More details to come in February.
