Rivers, formerly head of music at Creative Australia, takes on the newly-created position of industry relations director at Sound Story.

"It's both excruciating and completely humbling," Rivers says on the eve of the Music Victoria Awards, where she'll receive the top honour.

“I will be leaving Creative Australia from December,” Rivers writes on her LinkedIn. “Exciting times ahead.”
