Buoyed by the sell-out success of their October festival which drew 18,000 punters to the Wollongong site, the Yours & Owls team is looking at putting on three more concerts in winter.

These will be at the Innovation Campus at the University of Wollongong.

Co-founders Ben Tillman and Adam Smith have made a development application submitted to Wollongong City Council, the Illawarra Mercury reported.

The plan is to set up a 3,200-capacity indoor live music venue to be called The Big Top, in the vacant area behind Science Space.

There will be one stage, two bars and six food stalls.

The evening concerts will be on Wednesday, July 25, Friday, August 3 and Saturday, August 11.

The latter coincides with the university’s Open Day; last year Yours & Owls organised The Last Frost concert for the event.
