Rolling Stone Australia has announced that Tones And I will feature on the cover of its first physical issue in over two years.

The title returned to the Australian market last month, launching online on February 3 having joined The Brag Media's suite of publications.

As reported by The Industry Observer, the return to print will come in May, and breakout 2019 star Tones And I will grace the cover story.

An eight-page cover feature on Tones will include photography by Giulia McGauran, after Rolling Stone Australia spent time with Toni Watson at her home, met her friends and went backstage for her appearance at one of Australia's biggest festivals.

Its return to the Australian market comes two years after former publisher Paper Riot Pty Ltd went into external administration.

Rolling Stone Australia originally launched in Australia in 1970, set up by young publisher and Monash University student Phillip Frazer as a supplement in Revolution magazine.

The new Rolling Stone Australia will feature premium content across multiple platforms including digital, social, podcasts, video, merchandising and events.

Syndicated editorial will feature alongside original and locally produced content, with Politics and Sports making up the editorial categories alongside Music, of course.

Rolling Stone Australia is not the only overseas title to launch in Australia recently, with British publication NME in December 2019 with an inaugural cover featuring Amyl And The Sniffers.

It will now be the only physical publication produced by The Brag Media, after the final issue of namesake magazine The BRAG pub came out on March 4, 2020.
