The Wiggles' 'Party Pie' Tops Hottest Pie Hundred Song Competition

National Pies has officially crowned "Party Pie" by The Wiggles and the Tree of Life as the 'top crust' in this year’s Hottest Pie Hundred playlist competition.
Coinciding with National Pie Day, which falls today (January 23), the announcement gives fans the perfect excuse to celebrate both pies and music at the same time. Nearly 2,000 fans weighed in this year, making it one of the closest competitions yet.
In a vote that went down to the last bite, "Party Pie" pulled in 597 votes, narrowly edging out last year’s favourite, Don McLean’s iconic "American Pie", which scored 580 votes. Bob Dylan’s "Country Pie" finished in third place, while other crowd-pleasers included Daddy Cool and Warrant, both serving up their own versions of "Cherry Pie".
The Hottest Pie Hundred playlist was first created a few years ago, when National Pies invited fans via social media to vote for their favourite pie-themed songs over the summer break. What began as a lighthearted challenge quickly struck a chord with music lovers and foodies alike, growing into a beloved annual tradition.
Each year, the playlist draws more votes and generates more buzz, with thousands of Australians now taking part in the quirky celebration of pies and music. National Pies says the competition is not just about fun - it’s a way to celebrate community, creativity, and the enduring love of pies in all shapes, sizes, and flavours.

The Wiggles and the Tree of Life's "Party Pie" was released in October 2025 as part of The Tree of Wisdom album. The song blends joyful melodies with playful lyrics about celebrating, dancing, and having fun - much like a party anthem for young listeners. It’s designed to get kids moving, singing, and tapping along with its catchy rhythm.
The album, produced by The Wiggles co-founder Anthony Field, also features covers of classic hits by Tina Turner, Elvis Presley, and John Williamson.
