Tash Sultana launches Terra Firma-inspired Fortnite map

Tash Sultana has launched a map on popular video game Fortnite, inspired by the cover art of their newly-released album, Terra Firma.

Designed by LootMate, the visual world allows Fortnite players to explore the map, discover 'easter eggs' and win some V-Bucks, the in-game currency. The map was premiered yesterday afternoon with Twitch streamer Loserfruit livestreaming themselves exploring the virtual world.

The Terra Firma map marks the first time an Australian artist has had a custom map inside Fortnite. It follows a similar move from Tones And I, who made a number of virtual appearances on the popular gaming platform Roblox last November.

Arriving last Friday, Terra Firma is the follow-up to Sultana's debut album, Flow State, in 2018. The new record is currently looking at debuting somewhere in the top five spots on the ARIA Albums chart. All will be revealed on Saturday afternoon.

This weekend, Fortnite will team up with fellow Melbourne artist Ashwarya, who will deliver exclusive content for the Champion Series quarter-final on Sunday evening.
