Rage More Records, the indie label founded by Shane Billings, is gearing up for growth.

Longtime Sony Music Australia executive Tammy Hofbauer will depart the major next month after accepting a leadership role with Rage More.

Hofbauer starts August 22 as vice president of artist management and label operations.

Among the artists signed to Rage More for management is Billings' wife, Amy Shark. Hofbauer, who has been the hitmaker's publicist since she signed to Sony Music six years ago, will assume key responsibilities for Shark’s day-to-day.

Hofbauer said she is "beyond thrilled" to join Rage More as its first hire.

"It’s been a pleasure to work so closely with Amy and Shane these past six years and I cannot wait to get my teeth stuck into this new and exciting role," Hofbauer said.

"Amy is a truly special artist, her ability to tell intimate yet relatable stories through music has captured a global audience and it’s been a dream to share her story and be a part of the incredible Wonderlick and Sony Music team working the project.

"Shane’s vision for Rage More Records aligns with my passion for fostering and developing talent so it feels like a perfect match," she added.

The music exec joins Rage More after more than a decade with Sony Music. She was promoted to senior director of national promotions in 2019.

Billings said the appointment of Hofbauer is "a major score" for Rage More.

"Having worked closely with Tammy over the last six years, I'm thrilled to officially welcome one of Australia's most well-respected music specialists," he said.

Hofbauer's last day at Sony Music is August 10.
