18-year-old Sydney artist Ruby Fields just received her first spin on UK radio, with BBC Radio 1 DJ Phil Taggart playing her track ‘I Want’ on his show last night.

The song caused a stir earlier this month when it was downloaded over a thousand times within a few hours after being uploaded to triple j unearthed. Zan Rowe was among the triple j personalities taken by the track, writing “Big, fist pumping slice of heartfelt indie here.”
