Sweat It Out marks 10th year anniversary vinyl celebrating the legacy of late founder, DJ Ajax
From the 217 releases from the past ten years, Sweat It Out chose 12 for a vinyl “of Jaxy’s greatest accomplishments and stand-out moments for the label.”
Sydney-based record label, publishing and booking agency Sweat It Out celebrates its 10th anniversary with a vinyl release celebrating the legacy of its founder, the late DJ Ajax.
Sweat It Out 2008—2018 is due out on Friday, November 2.
Ajax, born Adrian Thomas, was both a DJ and record producer slamming electro, techno and electroclash.
He hosted Sunsets (Bang Gang Show) on FBi Radio, was a founding member of the Bang Gang collective, toured France, US and the UK in 2006 for Modular UK and was voted #1 in the inthemix 50 poll in 2006 and 2007.
Ajax set up Sweat It Out in a bedroom, launching it with the Gameboy / Gamegirl album Golden Ghetto Sex.

Side A (Jax Trax) opens with the unreleased I’m Hot which harks back to the height of the electro era, with additional remixes of Midnight Juggernauts and Northbrook, and Back Of My Car from the self-titled “D-List supergroup” Twinsy - Ajax’s collaboration with Guy Chappell and Michael Belsar.

Side B includes debut release, Gameboy / Gamegirl’s Sweaty Wet / Dirty Damp, then its first international signing Monkey Safari, Danny T joining the family in 2011 with the signing of the first EP (he is now its label manager) and the debut release of fresh-faced Northern Beaches youngsters What So Not with 7 Dollar Bill.
There are also the international success stories including RÜFÜS (now RÜFÜS DU SOL) whose debut album Atlas went platinum, Parachute Youth with Can’t Getter Than This, and the global banger We Speak No Americano by Yolanda Be Cool, teaming up with DCUP producing hit after hit, choosing ‘Soul Makossa, (Money) and Grand Rapids’ by Indian Summer - one of the duo’s first releases from 2013 which saw them scooped up by triple j and the club world
The last vinyl side, is a look at the more recent releases of Sweat It Out -- Crooked Colours' first release Come Down now has over 2.5 million streams, along with Define from Dom Dolla & Go Freek which topped the ARIA club chart for nine weeks, went gold and made waves on global dancefloors.
Other tracks are Motez’s label debut Promise Me ad What So Not’sJaguar.
