Sunshine Coast conference Turn Up readies program schedule

Turn Up, the Sunshine Coast music industry conference and showcase, is prepping for its fifth instalment.

It is held at The Playhouse at Solbar, Maroochydore on Thursday, October 18.

Speakers and presenters are Maggie Collins (Morning Belle), Tyler McLoughlan (Sound Pound), Kim Pengelly (QMusic), Matty Woo (Macro Music), Jeff Chandler (Chandler Music Works), Leanne de Souza (Association of Artist Managers), media identity Stuart Coupe, Paulie B, Sahara Beck, Brett Gadenne, Brooke Schubert and Kellie Lloyd (APRA AMCOS).

In two In Conversation sessions, de Souza speaks to Coupe about his 40 years in the business, while Collins recounts with McLoughlan her achievements and connecting independent musos with sync opportunities.

Panel topics look at management in the new music business and writing a killer song.

Showcase performers are Hazel and Roanna Law, Dan Horne and Town.

Program director Eloise Gallagher said: “The 2018 Turn Up conference is about bringing Sunshine Coast music people together for an evening of celebration and inspiration.
