St Kilda Festival opens applications for 10 up-and-coming Aussie acts to join their 2019 lineup
Of the ten selected for the 2019 event, one will be chosen to perform on the main stage in 2020 for the festival's 40th anniversary. This year's crowd favourite will also receive $5,000.

The annual Melbourne St Kilda Festival has put the call out for artists around the country to join its lineup.
The festival, touted as the largest free music festival in Australia, is expected to draw over 400,000 attendees in 2019.
They're looking for ten up and coming artists to play on their New Music Stage. One of the acts will then be chosen to perform on the main stage in 2020 for the festival's 40th anniversary. Out of the ten 2019 acts, the crowd favourite will also receive $5,000.
The New Music Stage has previously seen the likes of Missy Higgins, Baker Boy, Client Liaison, Husky and The Cactus Channel tread the boards.
"The St Kilda Festival is a flagship event for the City of Port Phillip which aims to engage the community with access to a diverse range of entertainment," said City of Port Phillip mayor Bernadene Voss.
"We're calling on participants nationwide to take part in 2019, and encourage everyone to apply."
Applications are open and will close on September 28. Click HERE to apply and for more info.
