Shazam gives Australia own pop, hip-hop/rap and dance charts
There's another new chart to measure consumers' engagement with music.

Shazam is supplying Australia with its own pop, hip-hop/rap and dance charts.
Updated daily and showing rolling seven-day data, these genre charts are available on shazam.com and in the Shazam app.
Australia is one of 13 countries to get its own genre charts.
The others are the US, UK, South Africa, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Turkey, Italy, Russia, Spain, France and Germany.
Shazam, now owned by Apple, is also releasing 18 global genre charts for its 200 million monthly users.
They include: pop, hip-hop/rap, dance, electronic, R&B/soul, alternative, rock, Latin, film, TV & stage, country, Afrobeat, worldwide, reggae/dancehall, house, K-Pop, French pop, singer/songwriter and regional Mexicano.
Exclusively available on Apple Music, the Shazam Discovery Top 50 compiles up-and-coming songs from breaking artists around the world.

Tones And I’s ‘Dance Monkey’ is the most Shazamed song of all time, and the most Shazamed pop track for 2020.
The top Shazamed genres this year are pop, hip-hop/rap and dance.
Overall, Afrobeat is the highest growing genre (+72%) on Shazam.
K-Pop is the second highest growing genre (+41%), followed by worldwide (+24%).
